Custom visual merchandising and bespoke bronzed-steel display fabrication for a 2,750 sq. ft. fashion boutique in Toronto — part of an ARIDO award-winning retail interior.
Due West is an independent retailer in one of downtown Toronto's busiest shopping destinations, carrying premium men's and women's outerwear, apparel, footwear, and accessories across contemporary, designer, technical, and advanced sportswear lines.
The interior
The award-winning interior pairs a black perimeter with custom bronze modular shelving and bespoke lighting designed by Quadrangle Architects, fabricated by SoDi Designs with Architecture Experience as project manager.
Our scope
We covered fabrication and installation of the custom visual merchandising system — a continuous-line bronzed steel clothing rod concept with integrated shelving and mobile units. Working with SoDi Designs, we developed details, shop drawings, and project estimates, and coordinated the fabrication teams. Special rusticated decorative finishes were applied across the entirely custom shelving system.
Recognition
Quadrangle Architects won the ARIDO Award (Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario) for Bespoke Retail Display System in 2015 for this interior.
