Everglade Residence

Architecture Experience was presented with an unusual brief: a fashionable interior remodel of a three-storey townhouse for a young family who wanted a whimsical and vibrant home in Palm Beach.

Collaboration

Our office worked with Scott Yetman Bespoke Interiors, DellAnno custom interiors, and Sciame Homes to modernize the residence, concentrating on an inspired composition of detailing and finishes throughout.

Scope

The project reimagined the kitchen, living areas, bathrooms, bedrooms, stairway, garage, and fenestration — drawings covered exterior elevations, site plan, kitchen elevations and cabinetry, the bar and kitchen island, the first-floor foyer and stairway, and the primary bathroom.

Vertical living

Three storeys changes how a family home works. Circulation becomes the spine of the plan, and the stairway stops being a utility and starts being the room everyone passes through several times a day. Detailing it properly — along with the foyer it opens from — was central to making the house feel generous rather than stacked.
