Not every as-built is about interiors. Here the scope deliberately inverted the usual emphasis: the building footprint and grounds were the subject, and the interior was left out entirely.
What was documented
- Site plan with building footprint, driveway, hardscape, and sidewalks
- Pool and pool deck
- Tree locations with canopy and approximate trunk diameter, plus numerical plant tags
- Shrub and groundcover boundaries
- Landscape elevations relative to a reference level
- Property lines where available from building records
- Exterior elevations — windows, doors, openings, roof, chimneys, trim, and ground-level heights
- Attached posts, columns, decks, porches, and railings
A note on trees
We tag and locate planting and record canopy and trunk dimensions, but species identification is not part of the scope — that is properly a registered arborist's work. Being clear about that boundary up front avoids a gap nobody discovers until permitting.
